In-service Training Course

1. Basic Management Training (Branch Manager):

In Grameen Bank, there are two channels for becoming a Branch Manager. One is being directly appointed as a Trainee Officer and another comes from promoted officers who * perform as * Second Officers, those who started their jobs as * Trainee Center Managers. A panel is formed from the second officer (Senior Officer) for this training and called to the Training Centre.

Method:

  • The duration of this training is 6 days including group discussion, problem analysis, accounting system, seminar work, library work, IT class, etc. and also a written and oral exam. 
  • After that a short list is forwarded to HRM to appoint a Branch Manager from the list.

2. Management Development Training (Program Officer):

This training program is arranged to make skilled program officers from the successful managers. The duration of this program is 20 days including

a. Field operation training for 13 days.

b. Classroom training for 7 days.

 

Method:

  • Program officer management development training includes Grameen Bank presentation, subject-wise analysis (field), seminar, the library works, and written and oral exams. 
  • After that, a short list is forwarded to HRM to appoint a program officer to the Area office.

 

All official post holders, such as Second officer (senior officer), Branch Manager, Program Officer, and Area Manager shall be considered for the next post as per their skills, intellectual capability, and success record of performance. According to the merit list, Training & Special Program Department arranges the following higher management training.

3. Management Development Training (Area Manager):

This training program is arranged to make a skilled Area Manager from the successful program officers. The duration of this program is 20 days including:

1. Field operation training for 13 days.

2. In-house training for 7 days.

 

Area Manager Management Development Training includes Grameen Bank presentation, subject-wise analysis (field), seminar and library works, and a written & oral exam on specific topics. A short list based on grading is forwarded to HRM for the appointment of an Area Manager.

4. Higher Management Development Training (Zonal Manager/Zonal Audit Officer):

A. Higher Management Development Training (Zonal Audit Officer): 

This training program is arranged to make a skilled Zonal Audit Officer from the successful Area anagers. The duration of this program is 30 days including:

1. In-house (Pre-Field) training for 4 days.

2. In-house (Post-Field) training for 6 days.

3. Field operation training for 20 days.

Total : 30 days.

B. Higher Management Development Training (Zonal Manager): 

This training program is arranged to make a skilled Zonal Manager from the successful Zonal Audit Officers. The duration of this program is 25 days including:

1. In-house (Pre-Field) training for 4 days.

2. In-house (Post-Field) training for 6 days.

3. Field operation training for 15 days.

Total : 25 days.

  • Higher Management Training for Zonal Manager/Zonal Audit Officer includes seminar, presentation, subject-wise analysis-assignment (field), field evaluation, etc. 
  • The successful participants of this program are appointed as Zonal Manager/Zonal Audit Officer.
